Iviron Bishop Made to Order Vestment - Gold with Gold Embroidery

Inspired by one of the many exquisite stoles in the treasury of the Iviron Monastery on Mt. Athos, we present an intricate design which features coloured stones and metallic embroidery, including icons of the Annunciation, Sts. Peter and Paul and Sts. John Chrysostom and Basil the Great.

The set of stole and omophorion seen in burgundy and ivory silk satin can be done in any of a host of colours. The omophorion features hand embroidered icons of the Annunciation.

The ornamentation, characteristic of the 16th century Cretan School of embroideries, is used throughout in the production of episcopal vestments, and features an icon of The Lord on the back of the sakkos and an angel on the epigonation. Omophoria and stole with icons may be chosen to compliment this set.

As with all our made to measure vestments, you can add any of the hand embroidered icons seen on our website to the various pieces of vesture.

ABOUT OUR STANDARD SIZING

The stiharion length is adjustable enabling it to be easily lengthened by up to 2 inches (5cm).
The felonion is generously proportioned, the back length finishing 6-8 inches (15-20cm) off the floor.
The RIZA cut will accommodate marginally smaller or larger body types in each size.
The epitrahilion has a slightly dropped front neck for comfortable movement and is finished with tassels at the hem.
Tassels can be shortened by up to 2 inches (5cm) to accommodate personal preference.
